My main creative strategy is to look up pictures of animals with multiple prompts such as strange or weird animals as it gives many animals that aren't used as often for characters. For example one I used in this course was the Mexican Mole Lizard which appeared to lack back legs so I created a plush with only front legs and no back legs, pretty much a snake with arms then I changed it up a bit such as having 4 eyes and fur. I also used sea slugs multiple times for projects as they look rather strange. For example the things on my final plush are based off them as is one of the models I 3d printed. Another strategy I found is to randomly grab and move on sculptis as this creates unique head shapes that help to go against traditional headshapes creating a more interesting creature than one I can come up with from the top of my head. As one thing that can hinder creativity is feeling like I'm only using certain headshapes then getting doubts that I only use those and realizing the potential I can have if only I could draw others from the top of my head, ones not found in nature. I plan to go forward with creating my animated series and to make more plushes, 3d print more figures, and try many more crafts. I may also use lilypad more often.
